I haven't received my tariff rebate. Even the Supreme Court, yes this one decreed that Trump did not have the authority levy those tariffs ala TACO the refunds went to the corporations that already raised prices to offset the crazy, unpredictable increased costs. So unless you name ends in zon/mart or get- no money for you. Or rump or udnik, etc.
Trump did actually send 90 dollars to 45% of the people on Medicare. Those that do not supplement it with an Advantage Plan. So, a small, confusing bribe went out. The fact that Trump actually paid should be the headline. Or was it a Russian Oligarch? Sort of like a wedding. When has that family ever picked up the tab? But this paltry sum is simply alienating the majority of people on Medicare. $90. You can fill up your gas tank or buy some eggs.
A digression: if Congress- both parties had not been chipping away at Medicare for a long time and now the cuts in the big ugly bill, people would not have to supplement this insurance that they paid for all their lives. So in lieu of Medicare for All, we want single payer healthcare.
Nearly 50 years ago Ronald Reagan took an already broken system and allowed insurance companies to change from nonprofit to for excessive profits. This produced 49 billionaires who got too rich from denying us medical treatment. All these years later, the assault on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid is ongoing and we still need healthcare. The planet cannot survive billionaires much longer.
So now Trump wants to send checks to people who something something inre Obamacare. It is a refund for; well I am not certain. This is 500 dollars. Trump is offering all of us 5k if the GOP keeps both houses of Congress. Sure, he will pay after if he gets what he wants. /s Suckers. More importantly, it will be a blue tsunami. So, buckle up. It has been verified that this administration used AI and other strategies to interfere with Brazil's election. Why not here?
What is Elon up to? His sad little anti-trans ads aren't working. But he controls so much data and information. And ICE, the military. Generic old voter suppression, gerrymandering and threats. Perhaps Pete Hegseth will threaten to execute election judges on live TV. Those at the top seem to be greasing an already slippery slope and handing out sleds to their stooges.
