Okay. Trump has graduated from insulting (female) reporters to banning specific media groups from White House briefings. How is this a bad thing? Why is anyone even going to listen to him? He lies and repeats himself. Just stay home, eat chips and write: Ballroom, gas prices will plummet and I am the greatest president in our history and no one will ever surpass me. Then go to the gym. Certainly not a coincidence but the pedo...president launched Trump TV almost simultaneously. It failed in < 24 hours. A record, even for him. Oh and the courts blocked this ban almost immediately.
Actually, do your bloody jobs! Investigate and report it all over and over again. If Trump can repeat himself ad infinitum, then do the same. The corruption. The cruelty. Hire comedians. Why are they doing most of the heavy lifting? Add medical consultants. What is going on with Trump's health? Jake Tapper you are a self appointed expert on dementia, posit your views. Now not in some book later. Since too much of this country only pays attention when it affects them, like someone we all know, break down how policies and issues impact us, democracy, children and the planet. Actually find people's interests and focus. And then provide specialized reporting. Get people engaged in the news.
Don't bat your eyes at Elon Musk. Tell his story: The lies, the greed, the vaporware, the corruption and lack of humanity. Analyze DOGE on repeat. List all the recalls like it is the cast and production crew of a Netflix series. Every day. Twice a day. Draw a straight line between products that are killing us and making people sick to lack of oversight and diminished regulations. And comment. Soap and bleach? Recalled? Bleach, isn't that a disinfectant? And,what if a Trump supporter gets Covid.
Oh yes Covid. Which never left, except from the national narrative. Measles. Explosive diarrhea. There is no end to what you can tie directly back to what this administration has done or exacerbated. Plane crash- I guess we do need air traffic controllers. Big Ballz you were wrong. Again.
The best story wins. Bobby Jr. Oh what a tale- from debts to a dead wife. And so much more. JD Vance. So much material there. Weird.... Of course, the Kushner Clan. Here is the best part: Like the dystopia in which we now live, their biographies are non-fiction so it doesn't have to be believable. Charles Kushner hired a prostitute to compromise his sister's husband. And now is the ambassador to France. His son is even worse at real estate than his father-in-law. How is that even possible? But they are united in being slum landlords.
Where are all the tales about Kristi Noem and her corrupt boyfriend? The massive double dealing and self enrichment. As well as the inept and cruel management of DHS. As for Mr. Noem- you be you. No dogs were killed or people tortured with him. The list is endless. Oh there is so much to tell. So tell it. If views/followers ask: why is being reported again?
The answer is that it is still happening and there is no consequence. Do a deep dive into Jeffrey Epstein. Serialize the reportage. Name names. Here is a story idea: a day in the life of Gislaine Maxwell in her hot yoga prison where she intimidates the warden. Shadow Kash Patel. Or Pete Hegseth. Interview people working in their departments or bartenders.
The repulsive Trump wanna be Ron Desantis stole 10 million dollars from sick kids who desperately need healthcare. Beat that drum for days and days. Talk to children who were affected and their parents. Americans tend to focus on individuals. Millions thrown off of Medicaid is hard to imagine. Little Jamie almost died because DeSantis stole what was rightfully his and thus couldn't go to the doctor's. Hire screenwriters and tabloid reporters. They know how to tell a story.
For too long #DSOT has wondered at the fact that Senator Tommy Tuberville did not know the three branches of government. Constitution hold his beer: The problem with flying today is not what DOGE did to our vital group of air traffic controllers. Oh no. But some/most who knows- pilots are furries.
If Trump wants to address the nation, let him do it on his own failing social media. If he starts whining about 2020- bring out the mathematicians. Have a rotation of collages. People like pictures. Don Jr.'s wedding. Russian oligarchs. Saudi princes. Trump and Epstein. The Trump folks are not poker players. Actually ones who win. So when they start to howl, keep going. You struck a nerve. Natalie. She didn't leave but the reportage stopped. List all the Trump bankruptcies and business failures. All the crimes prosecuted and not. Roll the videos. Trump in his own words- grabbing/spying on naked teenagers/ doesn't care about affordability/ suckers and losers. The list is seemingly endless.
And if members of the press are bored, there needs to be assiduous investigations into hedge funds, corporations and every single billionaire. Why not the Supreme Court? Follow up on all the court decisions that Trump has ignored. As well as the ones that don't seem to be connected to actual law. I could go on for days.
Keep fighting. Find unbiased reporting. Spread the truth and dissect the lies. VOTE. Care about your neighbors. Shop carefully, kindly and with respect for people, animals and the planet. And of course: Don't Shop on Tuesday.
