Our Why
The overarching "Why" of Don't Shop on Tuesday is to create a United Protest Movement whereby we collectively take back our democracy by leveraging economic power.
To achieve this goal, we have some objectives that keep us on track:

Support local, small, underrepresented, and kind businesses, and then don't shop on Tuesday.

Be conscientious about local initiatives that are making big changes - bring the spotlight to them. What local organizations can you support with the money you don't spend on Tuesday?
3
Continuously practice mindfulness in the face of an increasingly consumptive society. How can not shopping on Tuesday call us to being in community with others?
