What You Can Do

Updated: Oct 8, 2024

#DSOT Don't Shop on Tuesday was created to harness the power of people all over the country.  It is designed to craft a growing and diverse coalition where everyone is welcome. The focus remains on issues that have a super majority consensus and are being ignored or even attacked and overturned.

#DSOT is elegant and safe and effective.

This ever growing protest movement is covid proof/ can be done loudly or not/ will not jeopardize your job or your safety and can generate economic heft to challenge and correct whatever comes our way.

Try to support local businesses six days each week.  Seek out small, neighbor and unrepresented merchants and services.  And then, don't make any discretionary consumer purchases on Tuesday.

It is another tool for people to demand that elected officials and others do their job and represent everyone.  Not just their donors. This is what citizens must be doing. Today.

Register to vote.  There are too many deliberate actions occurring right now to suppress turnout, so double check your eligibility. And then of course vote.  Don't leave if anyone tries to prevent you

You can make a difference.  Don't let geography prevent you from helping.  You can remotely sign on to make calls or write postcards. Find an organization that is fighting for an issue that is important to you.  And help spread that message. Issue oriented groups must have people helping to spread their message.

One such group is:

The Maryland Chapter of the Poor People's Campaign will be canvassing this weekend.

Thank you everyone.

Keep fighting and then

A Brief Survey of the Damage

I know what you are wondering. How could an old, tired, lazy man riddled with dementia, unconcerned/unaware of policy issues, focused on a Louis XIV style ballroom create so much damage so quickly. We
