I am not a lawyer but why isn't Tylenol suing everyone in this administration? Ok, just the president and the HSS secretary. Plus the department's top advisers. Trump couldn't even pronounce acetaminophen so he just garbled out the brand name. Kenvue, the maker of Tylenol, please reunite with former parent company Johnson and Johnson and take this to court.  For your company and us.

It's clear that neither Trump nor Bobby Jr. were ever pregnant.  Nor are they doctors, scientists or medical researchers. Former addiction experiences with opioids (self-admitted) does not convey any level of expertise about OTC medicines. Also, it is probably true that neither man ever tended to any of their children in sickness or in health. But that is a story for another day.

A quick history refresher. Autism is on a spectrum, it is not a simple condition with one set of symptoms, causes or cures. It was formally recognized as a distinct disorder in the 1940's, although the autism spectrum has always existed. Tylenol was first available for purchase in 1960…so explain to us again how acetaminophen is The Cause of autism?

To cut autism research and then parade out this theory while advocating folinic acid as a primary cure is not only absurd but corrupt. And dangerous. It must also be a convenient coincidence that Dr. Oz, who’s in charge of destroying Medicare and Medicaid, sells this supplement. Don’t worry though, Oz assures us he’s divesting, just like so many in this administration who are concerned about any hint of corruption or personal gain. Funny how these folks reach for strange remedies while trying to eliminate or cut vaccines, research and healthcare.

There are obvious things a woman who is pregnant should not do: drink/smoke anything or use drugs.  Women must eat for two, as they say, and consume healthy foods and vitamins. She must be able to afford such a diet and see a doctor throughout the 10 months.

Yes, 10 months- 40 weeks./ simple math. So, the Republicans cutting health benefits and food programs is a major threat to the mother and fetus. And it’s of course common sense for these women to continue with safe exercise, adequate sleep and to try to avoid stressful situations…Like losing their federal job or related employment.  But no, acetaminophen is the real danger according to the Trump regime.

In reality, acetaminophen is rarely deemed harmful, outside of possible liver damage when mixed with alcohol. In fact not only has it been offered as a safe way for pregnant women to relieve pain, but it is essential to take if the woman has a fever.  Because that condition could cause real damage to the fetus and possibly brain damage.

So in essence, this administration has attacked one of the most important preventative OTC medicines and has linked it to a condition when there is no compelling medical proof. All while stopping  relevant studies and research. Correlation is not causation.  Yes, some of these women may have taken Tylenol for reasons cited above.  And yes there is a rise of children being diagnosed with autism. But much of this rise can be linked to a greater understanding of the condition, thus more doctors and parents are recognizing and speaking about it.

Jeffrey Epstein generated a massive rise in sex trafficking and crimes against children.  Maybe that's the link.  This is not a serious suggestion but release the Epstein files.

If this administration spits out such bogus information, cost cutting insurance companies will see an opportunity. Increased testing or support for children on the spectrum could be denied if the mother took Tylenol during  her pregnancy. Or parents who eschewed folinic acid or vaccinated their child might be not get the benefit that they insured for. Or these corporations will just use AI to block any coverage. This is all a real possibility.

I am so weary.  But stopping is not an option.  Hit the predator class where it hurts- in their massive wallets. United consumer action demonstrates growing financial heft and shows that people are coalescing while too many in political and corporate leadership are trying to pit marginal groups against each other.

This administration under the evil eye of Stephen Miller will be targeting what they deem left wing or Democrat- for the love of grammar it is Democratic- groups.  You know-groups that advocate for universal healthcare, clean water, medicine and science. And children, the environment, fair wages and books. LGBTQT+, immigrants, endangered species and animals. And so much more.

So you can stand up and fight in any way you want. VOTE. Promote candidates who are focused on the issues.Go to protests.  Demand accountability from elected officials. And/or quietly use your consumer power to determine when/where and how you shop.
