This country won't (and shouldn’t) stop discussing one of the vilest pedophiles known in recent memory. History has certainly buried so much abuse and terror, but Epstein lived and died in our time…And he had a huge number of powerful friends, many still living.

It’s clear in a myriad of ways that America doesn’t care about lives, innocent or otherwise. This country regularly trades the life of the mother for a pregnancy, it takes away medical care and food from children. Pregnant women are sliced apart in the Rio Grande while escaping horror, violence and poverty.  And we are of course complicit with starvation in Gaza and too many other places.

When DOGE, with Trump's blessing, or lack of concern, jettisoned USAID, that insured the suffering and deaths of countless children and others. Many pregnant women. Where were the “pro-life” crusaders only trying to “protect the children”?

Which segues to the topic of pedophiles.

A lot about Jeffrey Epstein is still clouded in mystery, including his death, how he generated billions of dollars, and his client list. What he did and how he seemingly skated through the justice system is well known. Trump and Epstein were friends, close friends, for years. Mar-A Lago was often the setting.  There are pictures. Videos. Quotes from Trump.  And people connected with Epstein's relatively free ride that were/are part of the Trump administration. 

There are reports that Epstein was offered a role in the first Trump administration. We all know he did die during that time. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. Or bribed or silenced.

We will not take a deep dive into the sordid world of Donald Trump and his very close connection to Epstein. The facts are out there and readily available.  What is happening is that Ghislaine Maxwell, so-called girlfriend who procured young girls for her beau, has been transferred to a minimum-security prison.  She received a 20-year sentence and is a sexual predator.  Not the usual inmate who receives this.

It is shocking, with all the evidence, that some people dismiss what Trump has done.  Two preteen girls testified what happened to them but dropped their lawsuit due to threats.  There are other girls as well.  We know through court cases and his own words how trump treats women.  And how he regards one of his daughters.  Even Elon Musk stated that his erstwhile buddy is named in these files. Not to mention the flight logs of the Lolita Express. (Nabokov did not write his brilliant book as a primer.)

What Trump is doing to try to distract from his deep ties to Epstein is nearly as awful as his original allegedly pedophilic crimes.  Invading DC, which is experiencing its lowest crime rate in 30 years. Threatening other cities with the same.  Rescinding trans care for federal employees. “Joking” about suspending elections. Making the White House/the People's House as tacky as possible. Talking about getting into heaven.  And other inhumane, cruel, crazy and expensive diversions.  

Surprisingly for the proverbial “Teflon Don” it doesn’t seem to be working. The American people want to see the unedited/unredacted Epstein files released.  There are many famous, rich and well-connected people listed there no doubt. Perhaps this is why many Democrats are reluctant to capitalize on this bombshell. We say: Expose them all.  As Plato wanted: these children belong to all of us.

Currently we have a president who carries 34 criminal convictions but estopped more trials to add to that roster. He is breaking the law every day and now is spending billions to round up people, most of whom have no criminal record. More and more are citizens, and the vast majority are not a threat in any way, in fact they are essential and valuable community members.

The Congress and too many courts are complicit.  The media landscape is failing to not only investigate and report/ but hold people in power accountable. Schools and universities are too often bending to the will of this man.

It is up to us.  As always, change must come from the people.  We are tasked with stopping the illegal carnage by a man who is afraid to keep his promise about being totally transparent about Jeffery Epstein. Resist and protest in any way you can.  And together with any and all that you do: Don't Shop on Tuesday.
