Redneck Housing Relief Doing the Job

Not Waiting for Relief, Making Their Own

Welcome to the Don't Shop on Tuesday (DSOT) Zoomchat hosted by Jacob Kravetz and Barrie Friedland. #DSOT is checking in again with friends of the show, Kristin and Nate Cerepak, founders of Redneck Housing Relief (https://redneckhousingrelief.com/).For the last year and a half, since hurricane Helene hit North Carolina, they have been tireless working to bring shelter, and succor to those who lost everything in the storm. In this chat we discuss how recovery efforts, or lack thereof, have proceeded in North Carolina: The profound humanity of those helping in the recovery, and the frustrations of continued bureaucratic delay and dysfunction from many official aid channels. Kristin and Nate's story is deeply inspiring, and a reminder of what true service and caring for one's fellow man looks like. These two aren't just walking the walk, they are building a road to recovery for others to follow! Recovery from a disaster, just like rebuilding a country, can take years of hard work long after public attention wanes, and these two are in it for the long haul!

Trump: How Low Can He Go?

Donald Trump has an approval rating of 33% and the disapproval number is 62% . This marks a new (and well-deserved) low for Trump, but also begs the question - how can so many people still like him?
