Binging SHAME to our HOMES

 As Summer turns to Fall, we enter the final stretch of the primary election season, where parties pick their candidates for the showdown in November to determine control of Congress. And not a moment too soon, as this current Congress refuses to perform one of their most fundamental duties, specifically checks and balances...Nor do too many of our courts if we’re being honest. This is how in just two years we have a military fighting (and losing) an illegal war dictated solely by the president, not to mention the nearly countless executive orders which are clearly illegal, but to which there seem to be no consequence. We’ve seen schools, media outlets, the entire GOP and too many Democrats, cave under the unrelenting thuggery.

The chaos and stupidity of Trump seem to have no limits on the global stage, from losing real wars to trade wars he does it all! Or perhaps few limits, as the donor class will still put it’s foot down when their money is on the line. Perhaps this has something to do with why, the Supreme Court blocked Trump’s TACO tariff dance.  Why else would this court’s majority of corrupt, venal jurists who have shown little interest in the law, precedent or the Constitution, do that? As a man who can’t take no for an answer, and with the maturity of a toddler, Trump has, of course, thrown out a reeking fish basket of new tariffs.  Canada is one of our oldest and important allies. They are a vital source of electricity and other material and products. The survival of the American auto industry cannot exist without Canadian exports. But Trump wanted more.  The entire demand is unclear but the agreement called for Canada to limit the French language and culture.  Est tu fou???( I am using the informal "you" since technically elected officials work for us.) 

But as oil reserves dwindle and inflation geysers, Trump has a plan.  He announced to nobody in particular that he is changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America.  The acronym to remember the great lakes then changes from HOMES to SHAME. Shame on Google Maps which did not wait to flatter Trump.  This is not quite the insult that Trump intended.  Canada and the lake took the name Ontario from the Iroquois language. So even without trying, he is insulting an indigenous population. America or Southern Canada as they might say up north, needs a sane trade agreement.

 Back to tariffs. The cost of which was passed on to us. The SC did finally block its execution by the President.  Until then, without insider information most people could not make money on the erratic levies. So, there are billions of mandated refunds now which are all going to the corporations not the consumers. And Howard Ludnick's family is involved in some scheme to make money off of this. Sounds planned to me.

 Follow the money.  To wit you will see crimes, cruelty and massive incompetence.  The uber rich cannot exist without the other 99%.  How would Amazon and Wal-Mart get their start without us?  Hedge fund firms could not destroy companies and their pensions if there were no workers. Most rich people rely on the infrastructure, both physical and digital, that the 99% build and pay for.  Folks like Elon Musk would not be able to raid our treasury if enough people weren't paying taxes. And we know which folks generally don't. Do I even have to write it? 

We have massive aggregate financial power.. 

As they still say in Quebec: Derrière chaque grande fortune se cache un grand crime.
