For the Love of Reading: We Will Miss You Dolly Parton

We will briefly add to the outpouring of love and tribute to Dolly Parton. She embodied so much of what people are fighting to get and maintain.  She wrote over 3000 songs without AI slop. She was generous, kind, and embraced everyone.  Dolly did not discriminate. She generously donated to people, communities and science. One of her most enduring legacies is the millions upon millions of books she gave away to children through her foundation, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

In homage to her, #DSOT would like to celebrate people working to make certain that children get books. People, like Dolly, who are dedicated to the true mission of reading and learning, not hate and exclusion. We've had half a dozen chats with amazing activists, writers and educators who have all made childhood literacy and education their admirable vocation.

If you have sometime this weekend, please check out these chats in honor of Dolly. Her mission, like her memory lives on in the good works of others!
