No- We Aren't Tired Talking About Jeffrey Epstein

The Dog that Didn't Bark
The federal government reopened last Wednesday evening, after the longest government shutdown in United States history with the capitulation of the ever-feckless Democratic Party. In caving, the Democrats extracted no concessions and further empowered and vindicated the lawlessness of the Trump regime. It was a devastating betrayal after the first signs of resistance against the regime, and while the resulting backlash may finally end Chuck Schumer’s career, it is a small solace amidst the wreckage.
There is one silver lining that we pointed out last week which is already coming to fruition: reopening the government finally forced Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson to swear in Representative Grijalva over 50 days after she was elected. And with her swearing in, the discharge petition for the Epstein files finally has the needed 218 signatures to force a vote in the House! This effort was supercharged when House Democrats released a tranche of emails (distinct from “the files”) from the Epstein estate in which Trump features, not just prominently, but is mentioned more than any other individual.
The emails also make it clear that Epstein's operation wasn’t just about sex trafficking, but brokering influence and information, often for highly political ends. Epstein worked with powerful people the world over, trading information and introductions for secrets and power. We know, for instance, from these emails that Epstein gave advice to the Russians and the Israelis on how to effectively manipulate Trump. And that he considered Trump to be “the dog that didn't bark” when it came to his sex trafficking ring.
So far, the emails from the Epstein estate have not directly put trump in bed with under aged girls, however they clearly show his deep involvement with Epstein and his knowledge of many cruel and illegal actions, his connections to people who protected Epstein, and their continued relationship long after Trump claimed it ended. However, countless women have accused trump of sexual crimes, including a women who testified that trump had raped her (and others) when she was a thirteen year old girl.
Despite an unrelenting pressure campaign, Trump's support to stop the release of all the so-called Epstein files is shrinking. Marjorie Taylor Greene, jilted by the president who refused to endorse a Georgia Senate run for her, has been on the warpath and included the files as ammunition. This is the woman who brought naked pictures of Hunter Biden to a congressional hearing and toured with Matt Gaetz. Lauren Boebert, a usual trump flunky, also sided with the victims in this horrific and tragic saga and could not be intimidated. Presidential lickspittles including Pam Bondi and Kash Patel could not change her mind or her vote.
Perhaps Greene and Boebert were paying attention to the 77% of Americans (67% of Republicans!) who want all the Epstein files released. Or perhaps they see opportunity when only 8% of Americans approve of Trump’s handling of the Epstein files!
On Sunday night, facing a rumored mass defection from House Republicans, Trump had to change course, calling on all Republicans to vote to release the Epstein files. Whether this means he just saw the writing on the wall or that the files have been manipulated in some way by the DOJ remains to be seen. It’s a possibility we should be aware of, however, given that the DOJ has already released manipulated video evidence with respect to Epstein’s death.
What can the loyalists do when this president is so obviously caught in an inhumane and clearly illegal scandal? Smear the victims and lie about the facts. Just like the situation with Snap Benefits, when trump left 42 million people, children and elderly, go without this protected allotment. People brought up the old Reagan tropes about Welfare Queens. The same kind of sickening defenses are being used now by the likes of Megyn Kelly, as she tries to defend Epstein and then Trump. She refers to these teenage children as barely legal. No, a few days after the age of consent is barely legal. Fifteen-year-olds are children. Adult’s pursuing sex with them is illegal, wrong and cruel. Kelly went on to say that after Epstein tired of the new wave of girls, and clearly once they turned 18, he passed them on. When the defense is this disgusting, you know the crime is truly heinous.
Sycophants listen: trump is getting old and unmanageable. Now is the time for MAGA to speak up for children.
We will now get to see how powerful the cult of Trump truly is. Whether his reality warping and distractions can overcome public, credible evidence of being intimately involved in a child sex-trafficking ring. Surely some of his base will go along, but for many it may be a bridge too far. The pressure is growing, and cracks are showing within the base. Today, is the time to press forward on the advantage to keep pushing for release all the Epstein files.
We must seize this rare opportunity for accountability, and remake the government into one which protects the vulnerable, especially children, from a class of sociopathic elite preying on our society rather than catering to these monsters. So join us each Tuesday in growing solidarity as we help to build an economic cudgel to smash the forces shielding the worst of us from consequence. Release all the Epstein files, prosecute those responsible, don't shop on Tuesday!
