Memo: Cities are Essential Places in Our Democracy

Updated: Nov 21, 2019

Great exhibit at the Enoch Pratt Library. (Baltimore Maryland) It is entitled: Undesign the Red Line. And because history often rhymes- the Redline was the name of the transportation project for Baltimore City that Governor Hogan cancelled. He allowed the one for the Washington suburbs to proceed and used the billion plus dollars to build roads in rural communities. Maryland needs the hub that Baltimore should be. Most of us US want racial justice/ green new deal which must include public transit/ equality. And urban areas must be treated fairly- even by Republican governors. Also the GOP in Congress for that matter.

Don't get angry. Ok- get angry and then join the #DSOT moment.

Don't shop on Tuesdays- withhold all discretionary purchases one day each week to demonstrate the width and breath of the 99%
