Inhumane and Monstrous

Unrepresentative Policy - Immigration Policy #4 Over the weekend, with his attacks on freshmen several Democratic Congresspeople, Trump committed fully to his reelection strategy: sow fear and hatred of immigrants, while continuing to terrorize refugees on our southern border as a political game. He thinks this is a winning strategy, one that will keep him in power and out of jail, riding a rabid, racist wave to victory. It worked it 2016, might it work again? While the American people agree there is a crisis on our southern border (74%), Mr. Trump may want to reconsider his strategy given how poorly Americans think his government is handling it.

Stop the inhumane treatment, stop the torture, stop the family separations, stop treating people as political pawns. Stop, stop, stop! How many months and years will our government continue to  prey on the weak and powerless against our wishes?  We must act swiftly to establish a just, and humane immigration system that recognizes the inherent value of people coming to our borders, instead of manufacturing crises that are the real burden on us all, morally, socially, and economically. Stand up, resist, and DSOT before it is too late!
