Even John Boehner Now

supports this.

Unrepresentative Policy of the Week

Marijuana Legalization: Support for an end to the prohibition of Cannabis has never been higher. We now have 64% of Americanswho support legalizing Marijuana outright. Whenever the people are consulted, they give a resounding approval towards ending this nonsensical ban. Last week, three states (Utah, Missouri, and Michigan) voted to legalize Medical Marijuana, for a total of 32 states with legal medical marijuana. Michigan also joined the ranks of now 10 states with totally legalizedand regulated marijuana.

Yet the federal government still lists Cannabis as a Schedule I drug. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their freedom, for consuming a plant that Thomas Jefferson grew in his own garden! The concerns of the opposition to legalization have proven totally false, underage consumption has actually decreased in states that have legalized marijuana, compared with states who maintain prohibition. It is time to end this madness and listen to the people, instead of big pharma executives!

And there are countless people still in prison for nonviolent, marijuana related arrests.
