Follow the Money: It's All About the Money

Money Talks.  A billion dollars stolen is a billion dollars earned (inflation has recently raised this idiom from a penny.)

The absolute shamelessness of this administration in stealing our money.  There is a Yiddish word: chutzpah.  New definition, Trump has paid very little taxes during his lifetime.  Some of that information was leaked.  Instead of feeling abashed, trump said he would sue the IRS over the leak.  For 10 billion dollars.

That must be a lucky number because he has pledged that amount to his Board of Peace. And collected a billion dollars each from a dozen or so countries that have joined. Trump is the chairman (for life) of this group that does…something. The exact charter is still unclear, but one this is certain: with Trump controlling the purse strings, it will be corrupt and terrible.  i.e. massive development in Gaza as they build over bodies and heartbreak. More pots of money stolen by and for Trump over the suffering of others.

But this is about tariffs.  Do you know how illegal these tariffs are?

The Supreme Court struck down most of them and declared that this president- or any for that matter-cannot unilaterally set trade policy.

Not only did these illegally flung out tariffs create massive issues with our traditional allies but geysered up the trade deficit. They contributed to rising inflation and increased consumer costs.  So now 6 of the 9 members of the Court- not even close and one dissenter could have been drunk- have shown that this ongoing policy is unconstitutional and instructed that corporations must be repaid for the costs of these tariffs.

Trump's response- he attacked the SCOTUS and ordered more tariffs with new tortured legal “reasoning.” Such costs were /will be almost certainly passed on to consumers.  And once prices go up/ it is very difficult to get them to come down.  Um Congress, you want to wake up and do anything? You only have to total legal authority to do so.

During the insane TACO tariff whirlwind- people in the know were making a lot of money buying and selling stocks on goods/companies that were affected. Some tariffs only lasted for a few days, with absolutely  no logic nor economic measurement used. The level of open corruption makes insider trading in Congress look almost quaint and old-fashioned.

Here is the kicker/ the punchline if you will.  Howard Ludnick- Epstein's neighbor who brought his children and nanny to Epstein Island is Secretary of Commerce.  It was his job to sell /explain/justify these tariffs to the media and the citizenry.  However, the bank that he had been in charge of and is now run by his sons bought  the rights to corporate rebates for the increased costs generated by the tariffs  If in fact they were struck down by the court.  So Ludnick's children are poised to make another fortune by betting against the primary tenet of trump's domestic and foreign policy.

In plain English, they were betting the tariffs would fail.

How does some bank purchase a theoretical money tsunami?  If only they were as creative in solving the problems facing our country and the world today. It's never been about anything else but money.  Power to get more money. Stay out of prison to add another zero to the net worth. (If some folks could

go to club fed and make money- and not just take hot yoga- they probably would.) Taking a sledgehammer to the federal government to avoid prosecution and get more funding.  Attacking and slandering people and issues and causes as a diversion to get richer.   Mix in some hate, anti woke nonsense voila puff: blue smoke and mirrors.

For the umpteenth time, we have the power. Faithful America is urging people to boycott State Farm because of massive campaign donations to the man running a dog whistle white supremacist campaign hoping to replace Mitch McConnell. Earlier boycotts for this insurance company centered around the decision to drop countless homeowners in California due to the costs generated by the massive fires and their terrible response to handling claims.

People not shopping at Target is working.  The Tesla brand is stained.  One or five day general strikes can clearly demonstrate our collective power. Let's be real.  it would be hard not to find a reason to boycott most major corporations. Where to start/how to continue/what is the best way to grow an economic protest? Make it easy, elegant and safe. Warm. Impervious to legislation.  What governor could introduce a bill demanding people shop every single day?

But shopping locally six days a week and then pausing any discretionary consumer purchases on Tuesday can sustain the fight to victory. It’s always about the money, and only with money united will we stop the barbarians ransacking our country, and get a government looking to enrich it’s citizens, not oligarchs!

Don't shop on Tuesday.

Trump: How Low Can He Go?

Donald Trump has an approval rating of 33% and the disapproval number is 62% . This marks a new (and well-deserved) low for Trump, but also begs the question - how can so many people still like him?
