This is Actually About Corruption and A Lack of Transparency

Updated: Mar 5, 2019

Where to Begin?

Most Americans disapprove of nuclear energy but not enough to meet our criteria.

Recently, there was a shift to 54 % disapproval of those polled- opposing this type of energy with the trend continuing. However, it is not in the 60 percentile (or greater), which is Don’t Shop on Tuesdays minimum consensus.

However, the issue today is actually a tweet by Patrick Moore- self-described cofounder of Greenpeace who called Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex: a pompous little twit. Apparently because the first term Congresswomen is calling for a Green New Deal and still lives indoors and rides in cars.

By the way, 80% of Americans, becoming more educated on the subject of climate change and the ongoing destruction to our planet, support the Green New Deal.

What can a lobbyist and corporate shill do?

He can misrepresent himself. And lie.

Moore in fact did not create the organization that became Greenpeace. He did join the inner circle early on but left the organization over internecine arguments. He now holds views antithetical to ones he believed in as a young man when he was fighting for the environment.

“Patrick Moore, a paid spokesman for the nuclear industry, the logging industry, and genetic engineering industry, frequently cites a long-ago affiliation with Greenpeace to gain legitimacy in the media. Media outlets often either state or imply that Mr. Moore still represents Greenpeace, or fail to mention that he is a paid lobbyist and not an independent source.” (From the Greenpeace website.)

There are a myriad of issues most people support. A large majority of Americans have stated that they want anti-corruption measures, the draining of the swamp and transparency. This overarching reform is extremely important to members of both parties and Independent voters.

.

So in terms of anticorruption, Mr. Moore is a highly paid lobbyist who misrepresented himself to slander Ms. Ocasio-Cortez.

To recap:

Green New Deal- YES.

Corruption and lobbyists without transparency-NO.

Be honest. Let us know who is paying you. President Trump ran on a platform of “draining the swamp.” So far industry and lobbyists and partisans have been invited into government, ala fox and the henhouse.

There is venality and dishonesty on all levels of government and in far too many elections.

Anticorruption. Transparency. Honesty. Working for the People.

Demand it.
