Green New Deal

Green New Deal (81%): Climate change is the issue that defines our time, but you would hardly know that looking at our political leaders and the mainstream media. The challenge we face to avoid climate disaster is enormous, and such a challenge requires equally ambitious action. In recent weeks, with the leadership of Representative elect Alexandria Ocasia Cortez, and the Sunrise movement have finally begun to address this pressing issue with the urgency it deserves.

The proposal of a Green New Deal has sparked the imagination of the public, and has quickly gained over 80% support nationally, with over 52% of self-described conservatives supportiveof the program! The combination of incredible urgency and gargantuan support, should result in our politicians acting with a purpose, but this is America, and so even our "left-wing" party dithers. We cannot wait for our political leaders to decide to act, we must push them into action!
