Environmental Protection

Earth is the only home we have, and it has become increasingly clear with each passing year that we are not taking care of our planet. Devastating Hurricanes, wildfires, and changing weather patterns demonstrates that climate change is happening now, not in some far off tomorrow. The most recent reports from the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) suggest we have only until 2030 to make major strides in combating carbon emissions and transforming our economy.

The fossil fuels keep burning and our politicians kick the can down the road, even though 62% of Americans think the government is doing too little to combat climate change, and 73% of Americans think the EPA should more stringently enforce environmental protections instead of slashing them. The American people don't want to destroy their home for themselves or their children, but the power of the petro-dollar keeps our unrepresentative politicians in line.

To help us take back our democracy from amoral special interests, and greedy politicians: Don't Shop on Tuesdays!
